The route of TEEM brings the road through the agriculturally important municipalities of Gorgonzola, Bellinzago Lombardo, Cassina de’ Pecchi, Pozzuolo Martesana, Melzo, Liscate, Truccazzano, Settala, Comazzo, Merlino, Paullo and Zelo Buon Persico. The route runs sengly above ground level for almost the entire section and connects with BreBeMi, as well as with the Liscate alternative route (a road whose construction is connected with the construction of the BreBeMi), through the so-called “Arco TEEM”. The Milan-Venice railway line (in the municipalities of Pozzuolo and Melzo) will be crossed by means of an overpass. In addition to the interchange with the BreBeMi, two additional motorway slip roads are to be built: one to the north of Pozzuolo, which will allow connections to the local road network by means of the alternative route to the Cassanese (SP 103) and the second in Liscate, for links to local roads by means of the alternative Liscate route to Rivoltana (SP 14).

For the crossing of the River Molgora on the border between Liscate and Truccazzano, a 3-span bridge of steel and reinforced concrete with a total length of 85 metres will be erected. The bridge will in turn lie under a viaduct 132.5 meters long that will pass overhead and is to be built as part of the renovation of the “Rivoltana” Provincial Highway at the part where it is affected by the new motorway. The “Arco TEEM” is being accorded priority importance because its completion will ensure the operability of the BreBeMi.

The Pozzuolo Martesana junction has been located where it uses the least amount of land possible and therefore preserves the agricultural area to the north of the “Cassanese” alternative route. The areas between the junction and the “Old Cassanese Road” (Vecchia Cassanese) have been selected for major environmental remediation works (Special Environmental Project no. 8 “Boschi di Pozzuolo Martesana”). The junction will be directly connected to the “Cassanese” alternative route, which has likewise been designed to preserve the agricultural areas to its north. In the Municipality of Pozzuolo Martesana, a link road is to be built between the alternative SP 103 to and the current “Cassanese” highway, while the older route, the “Vecchia Cassanese”, will traverse the TEEM by means of an overpass. A protected cycle/footpath will be built alongside the road. A similar work will be carried out along SP 39 in the direction of Truccazzano. Between Truccazzano and Liscate a protected cycle path will be laid out, and two overpasses are to be built between Melzo and Truccazzano. The works have been conceived with an eye to maintaining the continuity of the local road network. Two new roundabouts are to be built in Melzo: 1) the first, on SP 13 “Monza-Melzo” at the intersection with Via Germania, will facilitate the traffic flow to and from the future interchange at the Melzo train station; 2) the second, on the “Monza-Melzo” route, will give access to the industrial area and save the residential areas close to the zone from excessive traffic.

After passing the “Arco TEEM” section, the motorway continues through irrigated lowlands, an area of notable natural beauty that includes the Muzza canal and is characterized by sites of significant cultural interest such as Bramante’s Oratorio di San Biagio di Rossate. As it passes through this area, TEEM will be sengly raised (about two meters above the ground level), apart from a section that passes, at a depth of around three metres, under the “Paullese” road, (SP 415, formerly SS 415). TEEM crosses the Muzza Canal to the north, at the part corresponding to the Comazzo-Merlino border, and to the south, at Paullo, by means of two bridges, both of which are made from a combination of steel and reinforced concrete, both of which have three spans and both of which are 99 meters in length. A motorway junction in the territory of Paullo will also be built to connect with the existing ordinary roads, and the “Paullese” highway is to be upgraded (this work is being funded by the Province of Milan). The new so-called “Paullo node,” will consist of an interchange joining TEEM, the “Paullese” highway and the toll gate, and has been designed to dovetail with the planned extension of Metro Line 3 to Paullo. Steps were taken to resolve the interference between TEEM and the “Paullese” highway. The motorway bed will set in a trench that is deep enough to be compatible with the water table below (which is around three meters below the ground). Consequently, the “Paullese” Road will be raised to that it can pass over the Bypass.
