Our commitment to an accessible site

Tangenziale Esterna considers the accessibility of its website to be an essential requirement and an integral part of its communication and user relations activities. We are constantly committed to implementing solutions that allow anyone to access the proposed contents, as easily as possible and regardless of the user’s circumstances and capabilities, also on the basis of the advances offered by the most recent information technologies and the web.

It is, therefore, our aim to adhere as closely as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1), which define ways of making such content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. By following these guidelines, we aim to make our website accessible to the widest possible audience, eliminating or reducing impediments to people with visual, motor or cognitive impairments, or other disabilities.

With the aim of allowing navigation to be as accessible as possible at all times, the portal, thanks to a specific accessibility interface, allows adjustments and customisations to be made to the website, so that its use can be adapted to one’s needs.

Tangenziale Esterna has therefore made it a priority to increase the level of accessibility of its Internet portal, by acting – for example – on the HTML code, the content and the functions proposed, so as to facilitate the use of screen-readers by blind users, as well as the keyboard functions used by people with motor disabilities.

Despite our efforts to allow anyone to adapt the site to their needs, we cannot, however, exclude the presence of pages and/or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or currently lack an appropriate technological solution to make them accessible.
