The transit certificate is a receipt of payment, but is not valid for tax purposes. It is, however, an essential document for the Concessionaire to issue an Invoice, provided that the original copy is attached (Decree of the Italian Ministry for Finance 20/07/79) to the Invoice Request Form duly completed in all parts and sent to:

If the toll has not been paid or has been paid only partially, the certificate issued in the automatic lane will constitute a Toll Non-Payment Report, and may only be invoiced once payment has been settled (click here to pay by Credit Card). In this particular case, in order to obtain the Invoice, Customers must fill in the Liability Assumption Form and send it, together with the original documents proving the settlement, to the address in the previous section, i.e:
