Profile
Tangenziale Esterna S.p.A. is a company of the ASTM Group – the world’s second largest motorway operator, also active in the EPC sector and technology applied to mobility – which manages, under concession, the Tangenziale Est Esterna di Milano (A58-TEEM).
Through 32 km of motorway connection between Agrate Brianza-Caponago (A4) and Melegnano-Cerro al Lambro (A1), the infrastructure streamlines congestion in the south-east quadrant of the Milan Metropolitan Area. The route of the A58-TEEM is joined by 38 km of new ordinary roads that have been constructed and transferred to the management of the competent authorities.
On 23 July 2014, the so-called “Arco TEEM” opened to traffic, a central 7.5-kilometre section between the Pozzuolo Martesana and Liscate tollbooths, allowing the interconnection of the A35 BreBeMi with the Greater Milan road network.
On the other hand, the entire A58-TEEM route, from the junction with the A4 at Agrate Brianza-Caponago to the connection with the A1 at Melegnano-Cerro al Lambro, came into operation on 16 May 2015.
