The Municipality is only minimally affected by the TEEM motorway route, which in this area runs predominantly in a deep cutting (around 8 to 10 metres below ground level), all but eliminating the visual impact of the work.

Associated infrastructure works include the link between the “Padana Superiore” Strada Provinciale (formerly Statale) 11 and the sliproad from the TEEM toll booths at Gessate, interconnecting the new motorway with existing ordinary roads. Gorgonzola is also partially affected by the work for “Completion of the alternative route to the ‘Cassanese’ Strada Provinciale 103”, which also includes an altitude alteration for Via Parini, between Melzo and Gorgonzola, as it overpasses the new SP 103 route via a flyover.

The Municipality of Gorgonzola is also involved in the “Martesana” Special Environmental Project, which involves shifting the current “Padana Superiore” Strada Provinciale (formerly Statale) 11 road several metres back from the canal in order to help improve the bank and build a cycle path/walkway benefiting from environmental and natural improvements.
