The TEEM motorway route runs along the eastern part of this municipality for around 2.5 km on a slightly raised roadbed (a few metres above ground level). All standard roads affected by the new infrastructure will continue to function as before, thanks to construction of a series of flyovers passing over the TEEM.

Along with the Municipality of Gorgonzola, Melzo is also affected by completion of the alternative route to the “Cassanese” Strada Provinciale 103, with Via Parini being raised to overpass the new SP 103, along with an upgrade of the intersection between Strada Provinciale 13 and Via Germania, including the addition of a roundabout.

Moreover, to facilitate access to the industrial area south of Melzo, the junction of SP 13 and Via Dossetti will be upgraded with the addition of a new roundabout to enhance traffic safety and fluidity.

A small part of Melzo territory will also be affected by the “Parco Locale Alto Martesana” Special Environmental Project, with intensive replanting of a broad swathe of woods in a strategic intervention for environmental reclamation of the whole area.
