Around 2 km of the TEEM motorway-grade route runs through the Municipality of Pessano con Bornago. Here, the new work is being routed through a deep cutting. Vehicles will travel 8 to 10 m below ground level, rendering the infrastructure invisible from the countryside.

A link road will be built between the TEEM and standard roads on two levels, with tollbooths.

In order to facilitate the flow of vehicles along Strada Provinciale 216, which is intersected by the TEEM route, an overpass will be built over the motorway.

The “Alternative route to Caponago and Pessano con Bornago with regard to the Monza-Melzo Strada Provinciale 13” will also be built in the municipality. This road – Pessano con Bornago’s eastern bypass – will travel under the Villoresi Canal via a 77-metre long tunnel. The two-level ramp between the new work and the existing road system will facilitate traffic flows to the TEEM toll barrier and make traffic on the SP 13 more fluid.

The “Molgora-Villoresi” Special Environmental Project, which also extends into this municipality, will not only increase the amount of woodland but include the construction of a cycle path connecting Caponago with the existing “slow movement” path at Villoresi.
