Only a small portion of the TEEM motorway-grade route directly affects Zelo Buon Persico municipal territory.

Two ancillary works are to be built here: the “Alternative route to the Strada Provinciale 16–Zelo Buon Persico Bypass” and the “Amendment to the Strada Provinciale 16 near Muzzano”.

The first of these works consists of building a new alternative route for the SP 16 west of the Zelo Buon Persico built-up area, linked to the existing road network via new roundabouts. The objective is to reduce the flow of vehicles currently clogging the built-up portion of the SP 16 by separating local and transit traffic.

The second work concerns the SP 16 dir, an old road that branches off near Galgagnano and runs directly to the Municipality of Paullo and on to the “Paullese” Strada Provinciale 415.

The project is to build a cycle path along the SP 16 dir between the locality of Muzzano and the Paullo built-up area to improve cycle access between the settlements of Paullo and Zelo Buon Persico. Where it passes through Muzzano, the current roadbed of the SP 16 dir is to be shifted to the western side of the existing route to make way for the cycle/pedestrian path along the Roggia Bertonica side of the road.
